TIPS

FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE VIRTUAL EVENT EXPERIENCE

INTERNET CONNECTION

A working internet connection is the foundation of a successful virtual experience.

Check your firewall-settings and turn off your VPN if you have one. If you are not sure how this works, turn to your personal IT support for help.

Make sure you can use the whole capacity of your internet connection by turning off applications or devices that use the same internet connection.

STREAM QUALITY

We suggest that you choose the highest possible image quality while watching the live stream.

If your internet connection does not work with the highest image quality, gradually decrease the image quality until your internet connection allows the live stream to work.

Note: if you watch the live stream in full screen mode, make sure to exit it once in a while to see potential notifications and reminders from the organiser or connection/meeting requests.

BROWSER

The event platform does not support Safari or Explorer, so please use a modern browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Edge.

SOUND/AUDIO

If for some reason the sound does not work, please check and adjust the sound settings  from the small speaker icon from the menu bar in the corner of the live stream.

When you refresh the page, remember to click sound on from the screen.

If you join a conversation (deep dive, roundtable) or you are a speaker it is always best to use headphones with a microphone for optimal audio quality.

You can run a pre-call test for your microphone and camera from this link.

VIDEO

Make sure to allow swapcard.com to use your video and microphone. There will be a popup asking for a permission to use the microphone and the camera the first time when joining a deep dive session or 1-2-1 video meeting.

If you are experiencing issues with your webcam or microphone, look for a camera symbol at your browser’s address bar to change device settings. Remember to refresh the page for the new settings to take effect. Please consider reviewing your computer’s device settings if you are still having problems.
